2016-2017 Board of Directors

Naples, FL – 5/13/16 – Fun Time Early Childhood Academy, a nonprofit school providing safe, quality, affordable education and care for children of low-income working families in Collier County for 55 years, is pleased to announce the 2016-2017 Board of Directors.

Volunteers play key roles in the organization’s mission – to provide safe, quality, affordable education and care for children of low-income working families and to prepare the children for kindergarten, ready to read and ready to learn – including serving on the Board and:

  • Tutoring children in our Early Literacy and Learning Model program
  • Chaperoning and assisting with field trips
  • Constructing and/or repairing classroom equipment
  • Serving on event committees
  • Photographing Fun Time activities and events
  • Assisting with outside activities and information booths

Fun Time Early Childhood Academy empowers children ages two to five years of age, preparing them for kindergarten, through a comprehensive, research-based Creative Curriculum that features play as a key component. Guided by the Florida School Readiness Performance Standards and Head Start Performance Standards, teachers and volunteers provide an evolving/emergent curriculum and care to 84 children from low-income working families in Collier County.
